Two words define Julie Johnson: Passion and Integrity. Ms. Johnson has spent the last few years pursuing entrepreneurial ventures to provide a catalyst in changing the way the lighting industry approaches the design and procurement process. Her experience as a senior electrical and lighting designer has provided her the chance to collaborate on a broad range of projects including gathering spaces, museums, healthcare, commercial, industrial, historic renovation, worship facilities, R&D and higher education facilities. Her A.A. in Architecture provides a firm understanding of space and form while her B.F.A. in Painting enhances her love for aesthetics and impression. Working with an electrical engineering firm has provided her with a strong understanding of electrical systems and codes that support and integrate with lighting design. Her design awards include: IES Edwin F. Guth Memorial Award of Merit and Paul Waterbury Award of Merit. She is also an active member if the Illuminating Engineering Society and participates in updating the Lighting for Hospitals and Healthcare Facilities (RP-29-16).
